The Swiss connection
Proton Foundation publishes work on digital freedom. Pathoplexus in Basel supports open pathogen genomic data. Young Bafana Academy Schweiz supports youth programmes in South Africa. Their linked pages provide Bitcoin donation options. These are three different missions; accepting Bitcoin does not make an organization Bitcoin-exclusive.
How to explore the project
Begin with the mission and the intended recipient. Read the organization’s own description of how support is used and follow its current donation route. Compare the name on the donation page with the organization you intended to support. If a payment provider appears, read the relationship described by the organization instead of assuming that every similarly named page is official.
